Zana's Hat

Here is the hat I made today for Zana with our Knifty Knitters. I am at home healing my knee, which I have injured on vacation. It may was a combination of rock climbing, running between hotel rooms and kneeling down to tie Alecia's shoe! So I am sitting home reading, knitting, playing my guitar and getting caught up on Marc Gunn's Celtic music and renn fest podcasts.

Freddy

Yesterday was a nice warm day. We took the guinea pigs out in the pen we built for them and they had a blast munching on the fresh grass. This is Freddy, the one year old piggy.

Co-op at CU Boulder

It was another co-op day today! We went with some CCHFS Homeschoolers to the Colorado University Museum of Natural History in Boulder. Today we studied pottery and tools made by the early native Americans of the Southwest, and learned a little about their lives. The girls were happy to see their friends Athena and Jasmine as well!

Nana took the girls overnight while David, Brian, Stef and I all enjoyed the night out and a trip to Nederland's Frozen Dead Guy Days on Sunday. We went out on Saturday night and watched The 300. It was awesome.
Sunday we drove out to Nederland. Along the way we stopped to check out this partially frozen river. David and Brian walked down to get a closer look. This is a good picture of Brian getting ready to pelt David with a snowball.

We got visitors! David's family came to visit us this week. We have had a busy week. This was Saturday, their first day here. David took us all on a 'little trip' up to Breckenridge, which ended up being a really long trip. We did hit a nice little snowstorm, so everyone was happy to get to see snow. We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp for dinner. It was a lot of fun.

Food Bank

Friday we took a trip to the Food Bank of the Rockies with Mile High Homeschoolers. There were only a few of us there, but it was a great tour. Here is the group along with the donations we brought. I took Andreas and Malachi (my friend Geneva's kids) along with us, they had so much fun. The girls had not seen them in a few weeks, so they had some catching up to do, and it was hard to keep Malachi and Alecia from chatting throughout the tour. They walked hand in hand just talking about every little thing. So cute.

Dog Park 6

Barkley had been 'stalking' this dog for a bit, he was crouched down like a cat waiting for him. I am not sure why he does that...too much time with cats? I missed the crouch by a half a second, but caught him springing towards him. Shortly after the collision licking and sniffing ensued, so it was just a friendly stalking.
