Takin' out the Trash

It's always comforting when spring cleanup brings this to your trashcan....

Upper Bear Lake

After visiting the greenhouse, we stopped by Upper Bear Lake, to see the dam 'falls' and get our feet wet.

Gebo Greenhouse

Monday we visited the Gebo Greenhouse and met Alan Werthan, founder of Global Children's Gardens. We got to see the Gebo Greenhouse, a wonderfully built greenhouse. We learned so much talking with Alan! He was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable on natural living, and it was a very inspiring visit with him. Alan is here in the orange, talking with the children about appreciating the 'quiet' of the forest. He lives on the edge of the Wise/Silent Forest.

This is the campsite at our house. We have not camped yet, but the girls have spent many afternoons up there in the tents with friends.

Polyphemus Moth

This is a picture I took of a beautiful Polyphemus moth I had found one morning on our porch. What a wonderful creature! So soft and gentle, and so huge! It's about 6 inches across!
