Mini-Vacation Day 3

Day 3 was the gloomy kind of days I love. Although everyone was quite bummed because we had plans to hike to the waterfall on the Glen Eyrie property. We decided to extend our vacation another half day and make the trek in the morning, Day 4.

Back to Day 3. I took lots of pictures because I loved the mist. Made it feel very much like we were on some Scottish property!
Headed to breakfast at the castle!

We had to do some indoor activites because of the weather, but the girls love the Focus on the Family visitor's center, so we headed there to enjoy the 3 story slide, a trip to Adventures in Oddysey, the Narnia exhibit and the bookstore.

While at Focus on the Family, we were able to see the Blue Angels performing for the Air Force Academy graduation ceremonies. Apparently President Bush was there too! Traffic on 25 was pretty congested and we just avoided it altogether.

After that, we enjoyed lunch at the Cracker Barrel, David's choice. We love their food!

We headed back to Manitou to enjoy the Penny Arcade, the mineral spring water, and window shopping. David couldn't find the bandanas he was looking for in Manitou, and we had to head to Hobby Lobby to get a few. :) So, we took a picture of Pike's Peak from Hobby Lobby. Had to catch it while the weather was clear enough! It had been the first time we had seen it on our trip!
